i have a 2wire modem i purchased from bell sympatico defaultly by not returning it. was wondering if there was a way to remove the bell sympatico firmware from the modem. and feedback will be greatly appreciated.

you can check the 2wire website, but I think 2wire makes their router/modems for ISP's, and each isp puts their own firmware version on it.
What model 2wire do you have? I can do a little research and find some more information for you.
